IMPORTANT UPDATE: This fund is now closed. The Street Feast organisation offers free party packs to host a Street Feast on Sunday 12th June. You can register for your free party pack here:

The wonderful Community Foundation are offering up grants (of €250) for community groups to host gatherings, as part of their Year of Belonging. It’s a perfect opportunity to get some handy funding for your Street Feast on the 12th June!

You could put the money towards insurance, bunting and decorations, gazebo hire, food, a bouncy castle, or kids games – anything for the big day.

Some Tips!

First of all; to clarify. This isn’t a grant from Street Feast. The Community Foundation are a philanthropy organisation who are running this one-off grant round called ‘Belonging 16’ for communities in 2016.

It’s ‘first-come first-served’ so we advise you to apply as soon as possible. You can check to see how many grants are still available for your county on the their website (it’s updated regularly).

Grants Available as of Thursday 25th February:

Community Grants

It’s an easy application form. You will need to supply an organisation’s bank account to receive the funds. If you don’t have a specific Street Feast organisation/club/group, perhaps it’s best to use a local resident’s association or another local group’s account.

Street Feast is a day of local lunches across Ireland hosted by you and your neighbours. They can be anywhere really - out on the street, in a local park or in your front garden.

There are lots of good reasons to have a Street Feast, but it's really just a great excuse to eat great food, celebrate your local community and meet new people who live near you.
