Champions of change – we need you!

One of our many amazing Street Feast teams.

Passionate about community? Keen to be part of a national event? Then we’d love you to join the team!

Street Feast is Ireland’s annual nationwide day of street parties and community celebrations held on Sunday 11th June, 2017. We are looking for County Champions to join the team, acting as a local point of contact for Street Feast participants, offering advice and support in the lead-up to, during and after, Street Feast 2017 and documenting the big day.

We particularly need Champions in Tipperary and Wicklow but would be thrilled to have like-minded people from anywhere on board. We hope to have two appointed Champions in each area working together. You will receive training and will work at a local level on Street Feast’s behalf.

You’ll need great communication and people skills, passion for community and preferably some basic photography skills – or the persuasiveness to get somebody to have them for you! This is a pilot program. Although there are a few specifics we require in many ways its direction is up to the Champions, their passions and creativity.

Generally speaking, the role will be 6 hrs/wk between 1st May 2017 – 30th June 2017. A full day of work will be required on Sunday 11th June for Street Feast Day. This is a voluntary role, however those wanting to get involved will be provided with a great reference on completion.

Keen? Great! Apply here:

Street Feast is a day of local lunches across Ireland hosted by you and your neighbours. They can be anywhere really - out on the street, in a local park or in your front garden.

There are lots of good reasons to have a Street Feast, but it's really just a great excuse to eat great food, celebrate your local community and meet new people who live near you.
