Free insurance for Kilkenny Street Feasters

Thanks to the stand-up folk at Kilkenny Public Participation Network (PPN) and Kilkenny County Council, Street Feasters have the opportunity to receive free public liability insurance. This is especially great if you plan on holding your feast in a public space.

Katherine Peacock, Kilkenny PPN Development Officer, believes this will help remove any obstacles people may feel they have to organising a Street Feast.

“Kilkenny County Council and Kilkenny PPN have joined forces to support Communities to get together for a feast. To help and make it achievable we are offering the first 15 groups to register free insurance cover for their event”.

So what are you waiting for? This is as good an excuse as any to throw a celebration!

Street Feast is a day of local lunches across Ireland hosted by you and your neighbours. They can be anywhere really - out on the street, in a local park or in your front garden.

There are lots of good reasons to have a Street Feast, but it's really just a great excuse to eat great food, celebrate your local community and meet new people who live near you.
