Street feast, Ireland’s nationwide day of street parties and community celebrations, goes International!

We’re very excited to announce that, for the very first time, we are testing International waters with 26 Street Feast events registered in the USA, to be held concurrently with the events taking place in Ireland this weekend. Predominantly located in Minnesota, we are excited to see how these events come together. We have been thrilled with the impact the Irish initiative has made here so we want to share the love with the global community and this is our first, slightly shaky, but quietly confident, step.

Here are some of the reasons our fellow Feasters in the USA wanted to join the celebration..

“I am a huge community advocate and believe in bringing neighbours together for a common good. This is another great opportunity to do so.”

“Food is such a great way to have relationship in a community. I have been wanting to do something like this for a while and this will help me get started”

“To have the community come together, building unity, creating safer environments, raising awareness that we can help each other.”

Street Feast is a day of local lunches across Ireland hosted by you and your neighbours. They can be anywhere really - out on the street, in a local park or in your front garden.

There are lots of good reasons to have a Street Feast, but it's really just a great excuse to eat great food, celebrate your local community and meet new people who live near you. For all our latest news check out Neighbourhood Network News
