Bringing gastronomy to the communities of Galway

One really exciting partnership we have developed this year is in wonderful Galway, where they are celebrating being awarded the accolade of European Region of Gastronomy this year. They have a really diverse and interesting programme of events all year.

We’re delighted to be working with Galway County Council and the team behind Galway’s European Region of Gastronomy to bring Street Feast right across the county. There’s Street Feasts popping up all over the place, from Ballinasloe, to An Ceathru Rua, Gort, Tuam and Inishmore. In total it looks like we’ll have over 60 events take place across the county.

For us, food is about community, and it’s wonderful to see Galway seize this mantra with all its might!

Street Feast is a day of local lunches across Ireland hosted by you and your neighbours. They can be anywhere really - out on the street, in a local park or in your front garden.

There are lots of good reasons to have a Street Feast, but it's really just a great excuse to eat great food, celebrate your local community and meet new people who live near you.
