Street Feast is back for it’s 10th year!

Street Feast is 10 this year… can you believe it? We’re inviting you to join us on Sunday 5th May 2019 for our biggest celebration yet, as we strive to build community and tackle loneliness and isolation in our neighbourhoods.

We’re excited to announce that in 2019 Street Feast will be part of the new National Community Weekend, which is being hosted by the Department of Rural and Community Affairs and your local County Council on the May Bank Holiday weekend.

This new initiative is a brilliant opportunity to celebrate the wonderful community work being done right across the country. We’ll be letting you know much more about this new initiative in the coming weeks.

Once again we’ll be teaming up with ChangeX.org to manage Street Feast registrations. ChangeX.org is an Irish organisation that provides a great platform to register and plan your feast. (It’s basically an initiative to help you start or get involved in great projects in your community – they make it easy for you to participate in your neighbourhood!)

Registrations will be opening in mid-late February so make sure to come back soon to register your Street Feast. You’ll be able to apply for your free Street Feast party pack, complete with bunting, balloons, posters, invites and a brilliant DIY guide!

Street Feast is a day of local lunches across Ireland hosted by you and your neighbours. They can be anywhere really - out on the street, in a local park or in your front garden.

There are lots of good reasons to have a Street Feast, but it's really just a great excuse to eat great food, celebrate your local community and meet new people who live near you.
