Street Feast Hosts
“We host a Street Feast every year to celebrate good food, friendships, neighbours, and our gorgeous urban community garden which was transformed from a locked up concrete space to a thriving, people-led, creative, green urban growing space now in its seventh year.”
“The women’s group in the Killala Gardens estate wanted to do something to bring the residents together in the community. So this is the perfect project.
“Everyone brought their best selves and made a big effort despite the inclement weather. I think we will do it annually and also have some other events during the year.”
“It was a chance for people, young and old, to connect and reconnect. There was a sense of relaxed calm and familiarity that flowed through our few hours as adults chatted to each other and children played together. We managed to bring together six rural townlands amongst our small group! There was great support and lots of ideas shared by the Street Feast team making every aspect of the day easier to organise and navigate.”
“We own a coffee container located at beautiful Milford Mills, our community has always been the backbone of our business so it would be great to host a party for them.”
